What happens when your package arrives

Three steps, and none of them need you to be home.

  1. 1

    Pay the $15 setup fee

Give us your name, phone, and email and pay the one-time $15 setup fee — takes about a minute.

  2. 2

Get your shipping name & address

We give you the exact name and address to use when ordering, so any carrier can deliver here.

  3. 3

We sign for it and lock it inside

A real person accepts the delivery — including signature-required parcels — and shelves it indoors, out of the weather and off the porch.

  4. 4

    Instant text + photo email

The moment your package is logged in, you get a text and an email with a photo of it.

  5. 5

Pick it up when you get back

Swing by during store hours. Storage is charged by package size and days held — we’ll confirm the rate for you.

Traveler picking up a held package at Mail Station Monroe

Made for short trips, not full-time delivery

Package holding is the right fit when the need is temporary:

  • You're heading out of town and don't want deliveries piling up at the door
  • You're traveling through Monroe — RV park, campground, or a job in the area
  • One valuable or oversized package is arriving and you can't be home to receive it
  • Your apartment or gated complex keeps turning delivery drivers away

If you get packages every week, holding stops making sense — you'll want your own address instead. See the Which do you need? comparison below.

Google Review
“Great and friendly staff. Remember me by name. I use them because I spend so much time in the hospital and they hold my mail for me. They do USPS, UPS, FedEx, and Amazon for packages.”

Before you ship it here

Do I need a mailbox?
No. This is for temporary holding only. Just the $15 setup fee.
How will I know a package arrived?
We send an immediate text to your phone and an email with a photo of the package.
How much does storage cost after the $15 setup?
Storage is charged based on the size of the package and how many days it stays with us. Call us for current rates, or we’ll confirm it when the package arrives.
What address do I give the store or carrier?
After you complete the $15 setup, we give you the exact name and address format to use.
Will you accept it if I need to be there to sign?
Yes. Our staff signs for packages on your behalf, so signature-required deliveries go through even when you are hundreds of miles away.
Does it matter which carrier it comes on?
No. UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, Amazon — if a carrier delivers in Monroe, we take it. One address covers all of them.
Can I use this for regular weekly packages?
No — if you receive packages often, use Package Receiving (your own suite number) instead.
Is my package actually safe here?
It sits locked inside a staffed storefront, not on a porch or in a parcel locker on the street. We have run this counter in Monroe since 1982.
